I opened the door at 5:15 this morning to let the dogs out and was greeted, not by the morning sounds of birds singing but by the generator which has been running since the storm yesterday. It is a blessing to have lights and water and a fan.
This is the first time the power has been off overnight. Inside the house all is quiet, the dogs are now asleep again and the only sound is the music of my keyboard which seems very loud.
Just to make sure the generator had not forgotten to turn itself off, I phoned the power company and there are still many outages. The automated voice indicated they are working to restore power as soon as possible.
My day begins with a blessing, a thankfulness for technology which is something I don’t usually include in my morning prayers, until this morning. Bless you all. May your day provide all that you need. I Love You.
