I Love You
There are people we have things in common with. In fact, there are many people, but we only share certain things with those whom we know will understand. There is no other life like yours, so there is no one other person who can relate to all the things that happen in your day.
I could not tell everyone about the toad who for years hid between the storm and entry doors to the garage. The toad who startled me each and every spring when he left his winter home to come back to his safe place. He was not always there when I went into the garage. When he was there, I never opened the entry door. I closed the storm door and left him in peace. I entered the garage using the automatic door opener.
Some nights I would see the toad sitting on the concrete just out of the dogs' reach. Was he watching them? They watched him. He easily entered or escaped the fenced area through the opening between the fence post and the garage.
At times I would find the toad inside the garage. I don’t know which of us received the greater shock when I moved a bag of seed & saw the toad jumping as if trying to reach a cross brace to sit on, or to just reach a safe place.
Yesterday, I started the tractor, backed out of the garage, lowered the mower & pulled the knob to engage the blades. Had the toad been sitting on the mower blades? I shall not soon forget the sound of the toad’s mutilated body hitting the metal garage. My friend had this wisdom for me. "We dance in unison with Creation, but some days, we dance in discord, between Creation and our own creations."
May you dance in unison with Creation today.

Aww! However, if we believe that our days are numbered then we must believe that the creature's days must be numbered as well. It is all a part of the cycle of life.
May you be at peace with all that is!
I love you.
