The sacred dance
surrounds you
like the light of a fire
cast many years ago
upon cavern walls
You’ve entered a world beside the world you know

Come close to the flame
Remove your garments

Take grace as your fabric
Where faith has let go
weave peace
through the holes
We bless those who know what will happen
that cannot be changed
We bless those who watch and can do no more
We bless those who wait without knowledge
of time or place
Gather the tears
Leave them by the fire
Flames show you strength
