NOT KNOWING

Published on 25 October 2023 at 21:02

There are some days that no matter how many ideas, how many books are opened on the desk or on the floor, how many thoughts come and go, there is no common thread to weave any of it together.

I Love You.

ART: LJ Austin "Ecnesse" 2017

There are patterns to writing, to telling a story. Write what you know. Write what you think. Some days, I don’t know anything. I know dishes need to be washed, dogs fed, dogs walked, bills paid. It is not inspired, the things I know today.

Not knowing is randomly inserted throughout life. Is it a relief? A transition? A place of rest? Perhaps it is a place necessary to regain balance, to see through all the confusion, to find what matters in all the clutter. Light and life changes.

I really like this Linda. Both the writing and art make me pause and think. I love you.
