I finally stopped being

his wife,

their daughter,

the company employee.

As words

like lava poured

from my mouth,

I heard,

for the first time,

my own voice.

Everyone has their idea of who you are. Some will tell you who you should be and how you should respond to any and every situation. That does not matter. They have not lived your life. They don’t know the words you’ve heard or the tone in which you heard them. No one knows you, the way you know you. Always remember – You are not a copy. You are an original. Be yourself.
