The ratchet was too tall, or the wheels were in the way. Pliers did not work. Adjustable wrench did not work. I needed a very thin flat wrench which I found in a drawer in a plastic bag with bolts and screws from another project. It worked. The platform is assembled. My desk waits for me to determine where it will reside. 2 Great Danes and a German Shepherd will never fit under my desk at the same time no matter where I put it. Hopefully, there will be other “safe” places so we can all be in the same room together. (I must have a table somewhere, the same height as my desk--maybe I can make one!)
Things don’t always turn out as we expect, they take so much longer to accomplish. No one explained additional tools would be required. So, what if it takes a little longer? What if I have a Cremora container filled with ratchet parts? – someday I will get them sorted and back into their compartments and I will put adhesive tape on the top of their black box, so I don’t again open it upside down. (I hope)
With every experience we learn. With every oops we have a choice as to how we will respond. This is life. Do what challenges you. Do what makes you happy. Live. Learn. Repeat. I love you. Never stop trying. You can do ANY thing you think you can. Only you can defeat you.
