Sunday, January 19, 2025, 37.5* Rain Stopping
Under too much pressure top bursts from tilted water pitcher drenching counter in filtered well water a gallon pouring splashing over the edge sliding down walls pooling on floor like a child’s water park ride. I can hear their voices, “Can we do it again mommy? Please! Please!” Nothing to do but laugh, grab a towel, refill the pitcher so it can filter more well water eventually reaching its intended humidifier destination. Wake up mommy. Put some water in our dish. Stop playing with that towel. Play with us! Give us a biscuit.
Most snow rained away overnight later it will be replaced but first some ice. Zayne paces through dark hallway to sofa back to my room stands over Ruger willing him to move. He won’t. My children of morning, wanting what another has even if it’s just a place on my rug.
"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It does not dishonor others,
It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs."
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 (NIV)
