I sent him a bear

a stuffed bear

because I couldn’t

be with him

for 21 days in March.

I sent him a bear

I didn’t get to choose.

The florist sent him a bear

because he couldn’t have flowers.

“Until we are together again”

was on the card he read.

Why would he ask

if “I” sent him a bear?

It makes me laugh

to think

I forgot

to sign

the card.
