The generations of family who lived there for over a hundred years built the house in 1793. 'Got the roof on in time for the first child to be born.

ART: LJ Austin "Apples" 2023
The story is not the house. It is two apple trees that could be seen from some windows. Planted from the seeds saved from an apple the pioneers brought with them. Strong, hearty trees growing together, limbs reaching toward each other. How old she wondered. She would lie in bed and watch them on moonlit nights. For years she watched them, she talked with chipmunks scolding her from their branches. Squirrels basked in their shade and napped as she washed dishes.
May your memories of time and place comfort and bring you peace.

Beautiful Linda. I do have memories of times and places that were special, but unfortunately evil always found its way into them, taking away most of the joy. I love you!
